Keith Sacenti
Life is about teamwork.
I've pivoted my career twice; from hospitality operations to management consulting, to software development. Each shift represents my drive to impact a growing team. With eight years of leading people and five years in software product management, my success is built upon excellent teams.
I love:
Emerging technology (Security SaaS & wearable tech research)
Big data (Telling stories through data research and analysis)
Anything on two wheels (Touring motorcycles, mountain bikes, dirt bikes and more)
As a Product Leader
As the conductor of an orchestra, I find it beneficial to learn how all the instruments work. It is also important for a team to know you are willing to get down in the trenches alongside them. Most recently I have worked to become proficient in backend technological principals that drive our team's daily functions (Kubernetes, Docker, MySQL, NoSQL, CI/CD Pipelines, DevSecOps, AWS, etc). I have led engineers in developing/testing/releasing products in the Marketing Tech, eCommerce and SaaS/PaaS spaces.
My favorite part of leading in technology is listening to customers, then telling their stories through data. This often means reading between the lines. In addition to interpersonal interaction, product leaders build better experiences through watching and empathizing with the customer.
As a People Leader
My style of management can be described as servant leadership. I focus on developing high-performing teams by giving the proper tools, environment, and understanding of a shared vision. I optimize an individual's daily performance by ensuring the big picture, vision and finer details of a task are realized, by eliminating obstacles in their path, and by motivating them to perform at their best with confidence developing benchmarks. My job is done correctly when an individual knows what is expected of them in the current sprint, knows how their tasks effects other teams and how it works towards larger goals, feels confident and capable in their ability to complete those tasks, and is motivated to do so. I achieve this by implementing the appropriate amount of process management for each task by pulling from Lean and Scrum principles.
